The Best Ways To Make Money Blogging in 2021.
Last week I shared some of the ways I make money blogging. But, what are actually the best ways to start monetizing your blog if you’re just now starting or you have a smaller blog?
Here are the best ways to monetize a small or new blog.
1. Digital Products
The very best way to monetize a new or small blog is through creating and selling digital products. The reason that digital products are the best way to monetize a small are new blog is because you get to keep one hundred percent of the profit.
When you have a small blog chances are you don’t have thousands of people a day buying things from your blog so when you’re only making money from ads you’re probably only making a few cents a day. Plus, If you are doing affiliate marketing you’re probably only making 5%-10% of each sale that comes from your website so you’re really getting very little credit for each sale you’re responsible for.
When you sell a digital product you get to keep 100% of the profit not just a few cents or a few percent. Being able to make more from each sale means that you’ll be able to become a full-time blogger much sooner.
The day I quit my job and was able to blog full-time is one of the best days of my life and I want nothing more than for you to get to that point if that’s where you want to be which is why I want you to know that creating and selling digital products is the best way to make money as a new or small blogger.
Are there any special requirements for selling digital products through your blog?
No, not really! This is something anyone could do. You don’t need a business license, a degree, special knowledge, or a certain size blog to get started with this. You just need to know 10% more than your target audience on a topic. If you want to teach how to cook the perfect sugar cookie you just need to know 10% more than the average home baker and chances are there is a topic you know 10% more than the average person of.
Why are digital products better than services?
The reason digital products are better than services is that they are much more scalable. You have the time to sell 1,000 digital products you don’t have the time to take on 1,000 clients. So if you’ve been trying to grow your blog through services alone I recommend adding in some digital products.

Do you want to start your own money-making blog?
I highly suggest you jump into blogging now! It is so much easier to start a blog in the fall because in the fall and winter people spend more time at home using social media.
When people are on social media more they are more likely to see your blog.
I know starting a blog can be overwhelming, it seems like there is so much you need to know, and how are you supposed to know how to set everything up, and make sure you are getting the best deal on starting a blog?
Also, how are you supposed to know how to design your blog and get traffic?
I kept getting questions from friends, and people who wanted to start their own blogs
So I figured the best way to answer all these questions would be to create a FREE ( did I mention it’s free?) 6 Day email course.
Which will teach you step-by-step how to set up a blog, install your theme, make a logo, and create monetized content. It will completely kick-start your blogging success.
I totally suggest taking it if you don’t already have a blog (or if you do already have a blog and want the advice) because I really want to help you get your dream job. Here is a more detailed guide of what we go over in it!
Day 1: How to choose a name, and blog topics.

2. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is the second-best way to make money with a new or small bloges. The reason it falls below digital products is that it leaves a lot of things up to the company you are affiliate marketing for like how much you make per sale, and how long after each sale you get paid.
The reason I think it is the second-best form of monetization given its downsides is that it allows you to talk about products and companies that already have a trusted relationship so even if people don’t know or trust you enough to buy a product from you they do know Amazon well enough to know and trust a product from them.
It also allows you to talk about many products within a short period of time. You can only create digital products so quickly but you can share a new affiliate link every day if you wanted to.
Who is affiliate marketing right for?
Every blogger at every size. I would say when you first start blogging create a digital product and write some blog posts about it then create affiliate content for a month or two, then create a new product and just keep going back and forth. I have found a combination of products and affiliate marketing is the best way to make money as a blogger.
When should you start affiliate marketing?
Once you’ve got your digital product created and on your blog then start affiliate marketing. Or if you don’t have the time to create a digital product then go ahead start affiliate marketing right away.
If I already have a blog post can I repurpose it to include affiliate links?
Absolutely. I think this is a great way to save time but still monetize your blog. I would copy and paste it into a new blog post and add affiliate links this way it comes up on the top of your blog again as a more recent post so more people see it.
3. Services
Services are in my opinion the third best way to make money with a small or new blog. I would say only focus on services once you already have a digital product, and affiliate links on your blog. Once you’ve got those things if you feel like you’ve got some more time and you want to take on some more work for more income then try out services.
Services are great because oftentimes you are offering a premium service so you can charge a premium price. That being said offering a premium service to even one client will result in time being taken off your plate whereas digital products, and affiliate marketing aren’t more work if 1 or 1000 people buy.
What does this mean for new or small bloggers?
If you have a new or small blog the first thing you should do is brainstorm and then create a digital product.
From there add affiliate content to your blog.
From there if you still want to monetize your blog in new ways try adding services.
